Emergencies

To report a water emergency requiring immediate attention, please call (970) 532-2096 anytime. During business hours, a customer service representative will help you. After hours, an on-call field technician will assist you.

Types of Water Emergencies and When to Call

If you experience any of the following, please give us a call, day or night, and we will address it right away:

  • A large water leak or burst pipe in the water main, which typically shows up as unexpected and large amounts of water in or near the street or in an area that is typically dry.
  • Sudden and complete loss of water supply in your home.
  • Water quality concerns.

What To Do If You Have a Water Emergency At Home

Homeowners are responsible for any leaks or damage to the water service line on the customer’s side of the meter, including water leaks inside or on your property. Little Thompson Water District maintains the service line between the water main and the meter pit. If you have a water emergency in your home, take the following steps:

  • Turn off your main water valve, likely in your basement, crawl space or utility room.
  •  Call a plumber or a sprinkler repair expert, depending on where the issue is.
