How the Lawn Replacement Program Works
Save water and reduce your water bill by replacing your grass with a water-wise landscape! Apply for up to $750 in discounts with our partner Resource Central when you agree to remove at least 200 square feet of healthy turf. This program has two ways to use your discount: DIY with complimentary gardens OR discounted lawn removal service. Included with your application is a free project consultation.
You MUST apply through Resource Central first to be eligible for the discount on lawn removal service or gardens.
- Hire Resource Central to remove at least 200 square feet of lawn. As an LTWD customer, you’ll receive up to $750 off the labor cost, applied directly as a discount. The normal rate for lawn removal is $2.65 per square foot, but with your LTWD discount, you’ll pay just $1 per square foot for up to 454 square feet of turf removed. You can remove more, but you’ll pay the full $2.65 per square foot after the discount is used.
- DIY: complete the lawn removal yourself or hire your own contractor. With this option, your discount can be applied toward up to four Garden In A Box kits from Resource Central, which will equip you with water-wise plants for your new landscape. Each kit includes plant-by-number maps and plant and care guides!
