Education: University of Colorado, Electronics Digital Technology Degree from Red Rocks Community College
Larry Brandt honorably served four years in the U.S. Air Force's Microwave Communications division, stationed at multiple bases across the U.S. and abroad. After his military service, he built a career with the Bureau of Reclamation’s Engineering and Research Center in Lakewood, Colorado. There, he contributed to the design, development, and repair of equipment for projects like the Yuma Desalting Plant and the Grand Coulee Third Power Plant, focusing on groundwater data acquisition. He also supported the Western Area Power Administration in Loveland, maintaining SCADA and microwave communications systems. Now retired from Federal Civil Service, Larry remains active in his community.
In addition to serving on the Little Thompson Water District Board of Directors, Larry is a Director on the Carter Lake Filter Plant Board. He also volunteers with his church group, Rocky Mountain Adventist Community Services.
Larry’s interests include real estate investing, remodeling single-family homes, and participating in a softball league he founded for federal employees. A dedicated vegan, he enjoys growing non-GMO, heirloom, chemical-free fruits and vegetables and is an avid beekeeper. He also holds a Ham General Radio license.
